When Time Gets Away

Ok, I apologize for my lack of attention to writing my thoughts of late, but as they say…”I’ve been really really REALLY busy and well time flew by!”

So here is a quick update as to what I’ve been working on:

Websites for partners and clients

I have been working feverishly to get several websites launched.  Some are partnerships, some are just friends, and others are just clients.  Be sure to check out some (read some as all of them) and let me know what you think.

Real Estate Sites:

This is a site that I am working feverishly on with my good friend Capt. Pete Gauthier.  He has created an incredible system (one that me and my partners use in our real estate business) to get you started in wholesaling real estate.  The site is not only a storefront for his products but also a link for anyone who wants to hear him speak and keep tabs on where Pete is hiding out.  To go with it, we have also created the Wholesaling Made Simple Online Training intro package as a sort of intro to Pete and his methodology in wholesaling.

A Blast from the Recent Past

Here is an article that I wrote back in 2007 (yeah that long ago!) I believe for my good friend Ernest as a recommendation for cycling.  It’s interesting for me to read the stuff that I wrote a long time ago and wonder at the timid and fearful write that I was.  I have added a couple of my comments (they are in the italics called Dan’s note) where I reflect back on what was partially honest or tainted by my limitations and fears.  I feel that I have come a long way in those areas yet the underlying message is still a strong one for me, so I share it with you here.

Dan’s Cycling Confessions

What has cycling done to make my life better?  Oh, let me count the ways!  Weight loss, cardiovascular strength, muscle building, more energy, stronger immune system, and the list goes on and on and on without even touching on the ascetic aspects of riding a bike (seeing nature first hand, exploring neighborhoods, meeting passionate people, etc).

Let me give you a bit of my history Read the rest of this entry

It’s a ME Day Celebration

Birthday’s are a strange time of year for some folks.  For some people it is a time of joy, especially amongst the younger crowd.  As we get older, birthdays become a time of stress for many people because, I suppose, it’s a time that reminds them that they are getting old.  For me it’s a different story.  You see for me it has always been a great time of year, filled with love, presents, and family.  That could have to do with the fact that Christmas is the week after my birthday, but who am I to judge.

For the last few years, my birthday has taken on a different role in my life.  While it is still all about me, it is less about the people in my life celebrating my birthday and more about me celebrating another year of being me.  You see, there isn’t anyone else out there like me, just like there isn’t another version of you other there.  I, like you, am unique.  I have chosen my birthday to reflect back on the year that was.  I take that time to celebrate my victories, learn from my mistakes, and look forward to the year that will be.  I call this a ME day.

As the name implies, a ME day is all about ME.  Not you, not my clients, not my family (although they still play a big part of it), and not my business.  It is a day that I Read the rest of this entry
