What Room Do You Live In?
Last night, well technically early this morning, we concluded another successful Nite Owls Networking meeting. We had over 40 people in attendence and from where I sat, it seemed that everyone had a good time.
It was a pretty exciting night with plenty of announcements. Peter Gauthier had brought a copy of his brand new course The Wholesale Genius System to share/show with the members. (There will a lot more coming on that product soon!)
Tom Zeeb brought a flier for his big event in October (The Building Wealth Expo) and explained to the crowd that this event was probably unlike many had seen before. The thing I’m really excited about was when he explained that the Expo is not only a speaker event (where our own Peter Gauthier will be speaking and doing a bus tour!) but more importantly it is a TRADE SHOW.
This is something I have noticed a major lack of in the real estate investing industry. A true trade show where you can talk with contractors, bankers, hard money lenders, lawyers, realtors, etc etc etc. Just imagine a big hall where you can put together your entire real estate team. I love it!
Finally I announced the launch of K and my super secret project, Cheap Real Estate Websites. These are turn-key websites that are based on the same websites that K and I use to generate our leads. The best bit, they are only $24.99 a month. That’s it…less than the cost of a cup of coffee a day. Anyway, check it out if your interested…we have a lot of other plans tied to the system, but I won’t go into it now.
Well enough of that…
A simple questions to ask yourself, what are you doing to improve your life?
This is a question that I ask myself every day. As Richard Flint likes to point out, we all have four rooms in our head…where we put on different faces so to speak. We have our business room (where we go to work, interact with clients, and well do business), we have our family room (where we spend time with our family…son, mother, brother, etc), we have our social room (when we are out with friends, or in social interactive situations), and finally we our ME room (the room/face you have when you do things for yourself, also can be called your alone time).
There are times that your rooms mix to a degree, for example the Nite Owls Network group is a social/business time.
The key to balance and growth comes in growing each of these rooms. Where are you spending your time? Are there rooms you are avoiding? Think about where you spend your time and just simply work to spend a bit more time in the other rooms…you may be surprised to find out that your busiest rooms aren’t nearly as cluttered and you gain a bit of clarity in making those hard decisions.
Until next time
