Being the night owls that I am, I always dread the early morning meetings.  While these networking groups are always useful for your business, I have to say that I am often less than at full mental capacity.

Well I found out that I wasn’t alone, so we decided to form our own nite owls network group here in DC.  My good friends Peter Gauthier and Tom Zeeb and I formed the Nite Owls Network that is focused on networking with Entrepreneurs and Real Estate Investors.  We had been talking about forming this group for about 6 months and this month we had our first meeting.

If you are in one of my email lists, you may have received info about the meeting, but I’m here today to tell you that the event was a HUGE success.  Sometimes I feel this strange pressure at networking groups (I blame the early mornings personally), but the atmosphere was incredibly relaxed with a lot of great energy.

The three of us had no idea how many folks we would have that first meeting, figuring that if nobody showed up we would still have a great time.  Well we had 27 people show up!  The room was filled.

Our host, the Bistro Francais, was outstanding.  The staff did a great job making sure everyone got their food, their drinks, and their bills.  I have no idea how they kept it all straight!

Personally I had the Eggs Benedict, and they were superb!  I highly recommend them.  (I won’t go into my foodie description here, but trust they were very good ;) )

If you are interested in attending our next meeting, it is going to be on August 3rd @ 10pm.  (Pete, Tom, K and I were actually kicked out of the restaurant at like 3.30am due to them closing heheh)  I highly recommend signing up on the website to get any updates etc.

I’ve included the video below that Tom put together for the club.  It should give you a good feel for the atmosphere.
